We are seeking an experienced executive to lead a molecular genetic diagnostics laboratory. Responsibilities include applying and further developing molecular genetic analysis methods, as well as scientific collaboration. A key focus is on the analysis of genetic data and mentoring students.

Your responsibilities

Professional leadership of the molecular genetic diagnostics laboratory
Organization of laboratory operations in the field of molecular genetics
Introduction and validation of new diagnostic procedures
Support and application of modern molecular genetic methods
Analysis of genetic data using bioinformatics tools
Interpretation of molecular genetic analysis results
Preparation of reports based on genetic data
Ensuring and further developing quality standards
Close collaboration with clinical partners
Cooperation with external partners
Mentoring and guidance of students
Scientific collaboration and research in human genetics

Your profile

Completed university master's degree in biology, genetics, molecular biology, or a comparable scientific field
At least five years of professional experience in a specialized role in a hospital setting (research)
In-depth technical and practical knowledge of molecular genetic methods
Practical experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
Knowledge in the evaluation of molecular genetic NGS results
Experience in quality management
Knowledge in establishing and validating molecular genetic methods
Experience with bioinformatics and bioinformatics tools
Good command of German, both spoken and written
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Strong teamwork skills and respectful interaction
Commitment, resilience, and willingness to go the extra mile
Experience in leadership tasks
Training as a specialist in human genetics
