Head of Finance
In this role, you are responsible for the financial management and development of the finance organization and its entities. You collaborate closely with the executive board, rectorate, and foundation board, preparing solid decision-making bases for strategic topics. You ensure reliable accounting, support planning processes, and represent financial interests both internally and externally.
Your responsibilities
- Overall management of controlling, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Manage budgeting, forecasts, and multi-year planning
- Monitor budgets and analyze variances
- Financial management of subsidiaries and associated companies
- Standardize planning and reporting standards for subsidiaries
- Responsible for liquidity planning, treasury, and bank relationships
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Further develop management reporting and key performance indicator systems
- Conduct profitability, scenario, and sensitivity analyses
- Financially support investments as well as study programs, research, and funding projects
Your profile
- Completed degree in economic sciences
- Focus on Finance, Accounting, or Controlling
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in a financial role
- Experience in managing complex organizational structures
- In-depth knowledge of controlling, accounting, and financial statements
- Knowledge in tax law, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and liquidity planning
- Experience with auditing, tax consulting, banks, committees, and authorities
- Strong strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
- Very good German language skills
- Excellent English skills
