Head of Engineering (m/f/d)

• Provide professional leadership to the interdisciplinary engineering team (process engineering, construction)
• Disciplinary leadership of the engineering team of approximately 15 people
• Ensure high-quality project execution
• Ensure on-time project completion
• Ensure efficient project execution
• Manage and oversee the basic engineering phase
• Manage and oversee detailed planning
• Take responsibility for the commissioning of plants
• Organize and conduct the handover to the client or operations
• Actively participate in technical inquiries as a professional contact point
• Develop and refine structures, processes, and responsibilities in engineering
• Support and structurally secure the engineering department during the company's growth
• Work closely with management, project management, procurement, as well as external clients and suppliers

• Technical education in process engineering, technical chemistry, biotechnology, or mechanical and plant engineering
• Seven to ten years of relevant experience in international plant construction
• Proven expertise in process design or optimization
• Ideally, experience with energy industries or biogas/biomethane projects
• At least two to three years of leadership experience in a senior or coordinative role
• Strong technical judgment
• Strong hands-on mentality
• Willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with unfamiliar industry topics
• Team-oriented and strong communication skills
• Sense of responsibility
• Ability to consistently enforce deadlines
• Experience in international project business
• Excellent German and English skills
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10–20%
