We are seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to design and implement efficient testing procedures for product development and manufacturing. The role includes planning and conducting mechanical tests as well as analyzing and documenting test results. The position requires close collaboration with technical teams to optimize mechanical systems.

Your responsibilities

Development of test procedures for substrate holders and related hardware
Conducting tests to verify mechanical performance and durability
Setup and operation of prototype test stands and equipment
Improvement of existing testing methods and facilities
Supporting additional mechanical test stands as needed
Collaborating with automation and design teams for concept capture and troubleshooting
Conducting verification and characterization tests
Analysis of test results and investigation of failure causes
Selection and utilization of appropriate measuring instruments and data acquisition systems
Creation of technical test documentation and reports
Communicating test results to interdisciplinary teams

Your profile

Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, physics, or a related field
At least 5 years of professional experience with a bachelor's degree
At least 3 years of professional experience with a master's degree
Alternatively, a PhD in a relevant field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, or SolidWorks
Hands-on experience in experimental testing and prototyping
Knowledge in developing and implementing test plans
In-depth knowledge of mechanical and mechatronic systems
Experience in fault diagnosis and structured problem-solving
Validation of mechanical assemblies and moving components
Experience with substrate handling systems
Desirable: Experience with large-scale panels or packaging
Familiarity with automation hardware and mechanical design
Knowledge in instrumentation, DAQ systems, and Python
