In this role, you actively shape the working methods in engineering, integrating digital tools with practical implementation. You ensure that technical requirements, prototypes, and budget specifications align. You take responsibility for selected groups and contribute to the development of processes, tools, and team structures.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure that prototype, customer requirements, and budget align
- Assume operational responsibility for selected groups
- Evaluate designs for automation potential
- Identify reusable modules
- Assess practical solutions in assembly
- Participate in shaping the planned PLM implementation
- Advance the CAD landscape
- Incorporate AI into the engineering context
- Integrate simulation into development work
- Employ methods that make costs and risks visible early
- Evaluate the benefits of the working method based on effort, planning reliability, and timeline and cost objectives
- Gather requirements and roadmaps from technology and product management
- Drive implementation in close collaboration with project management and assembly
- Plan capacities effectively
- Foster trust in group leadership
Your profile
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Robotics
- Practical experience in mechanical engineering or special machine construction
- Professional experience in an environment with new tools or work methods
- Experience with the introduction of new tools or work methods
- Knowledge of CAD
- Knowledge of PLM
- Knowledge of simulation
- Knowledge of product development
- FMEA as part of the professional toolkit
- Workflow methods as part of the professional toolkit
- Ability to select appropriate solutions
- Ability to engage people in the application of solutions
- Experience in project business
- Understanding that technical capabilities, available hours, and agreed prices must align
- Leadership experience from projects
