Head of MEP
We are looking for an experienced executive to manage the entire MEP supply chain of a large hospitality project. You will oversee technical review, construction coordination, and commissioning until the final handover.
Your responsibilities
- Take on the strategic and technical leadership of all MEP disciplines
- Review MEP planning and design documents and assess them technically
- Ensure technical coordination between MEP disciplines and architecture
- Carry out technical coordination with structural engineering
- Review and approve shop drawings
- Review and approve material documents and technical specifications
- Technically evaluate and decide on value engineering proposals
- Monitor construction progress and identify deviations
- Resolve technical issues impacting costs, quality, or schedule
- Lead testing, commissioning, and balancing works
- Verify service delivery and performance evidence
- Implement and maintain MEP-specific QA/QC procedures
- Monitor MEP budgets, costs, and change orders
- Implement cost control measures
- Develop recovery and mitigation strategies for technical or program issues
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- 7–10 years of professional construction experience in the DACH region
- At least 15 years of total senior-level experience in construction
- Extensive experience in MEP engineering
- Experience in project management of large construction projects
- Proven implementation experience in high-rise projects
- Experience in five-star or luxury hotel projects
- Experience with large mixed-use developments
- Solid knowledge of HVAC systems
- Solid knowledge of electrical distribution
- Solid knowledge of fire protection
- Solid knowledge of sanitary/plumbing systems
- Knowledge in ELV, BMS, and commissioning processes
- Experience in managing contractors, designers, and subcontractors
- Experience with complex projects and tight schedules
