Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

• Overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the accounting department
• Organization and continuous development of accounting tasks and processes
• Planning and management of resource allocation within your area of responsibility
• Actively driving digitalization in accounting
• Preparation of individual financial statements for all companies according to UGB and IFRS
• Central contact for the auditor during the annual audit
• Coordination of tax declarations in coordination with internal tax experts and external consultants
• Application and development of the internal control system (IKS) and ensuring local implementation and compliance
• Professional and disciplinary leadership of the accounting team
• Development and expansion of the accounting team
• Coordination and close cooperation with Controlling, Tax, and Treasury, as well as internal operational areas on accounting matters

• Completed degree in business administration
• Accounting certification (WIFI) or equivalent qualification
• Tax advisor or auditor exam is an advantage
• Solid knowledge of SAP FI
• Several years of relevant experience in accounting, ideally in a corporate or service environment
• Leadership experience with end-to-end responsibility for closing processes
• Very good knowledge of accounting according to UGB
• Practical IFRS experience in a corporate environment
• Experience in managing closing and reporting processes, including ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance
• Good understanding of business processes and models
• Experience in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong service and results orientation, with the ability to effectively prioritize under time pressure
• Solid communication and leadership skills
• Experience in building and developing teams
