Director Subscriptions & Reader Market

• Driving sustainable development and monetization of the reader and user base across all relevant channels
• Taking on strategic and economic overall responsibility for the readership market, including budget and performance accountability
• Leading an interdisciplinary team of over 20 people from sales, CRM, e-commerce, content, and creative departments
• Developing the team, providing guidance, and setting clear priorities
• Ensuring and advancing the existing subscription business in the print sector
• Ensuring and advancing the existing subscription business in the digital sector
• Expanding data-driven CRM and subscription models
• Optimizing the customer journey to enhance customer retention, loyalty, and value
• Expanding and optimizing digital revenue models in paid content, e-commerce, digital products, and reader offerings
• Initiating high-reach event formats and strategic media partnerships while coordinating brand presentation with editorial, marketing, and product development

• Completed academic education with a focus on business administration, marketing, digitalization, e-commerce, or comparable qualifications
• Solid professional and leadership experience in a comparable area of responsibility; ideally in the media industry or companies focused on subscription, customer, or platform business
• Experience in developing and managing subscription business models in the print and/or digital environment
• Extensive expertise in CRM, customer retention, and customer lifecycle management
• Strong leadership skills in managing interdisciplinary teams
• Experience in the development and transformation of teams and organizations
• Entrepreneurial mindset and strategic foresight
• High implementation strength and analytical approach to data-driven decisions and economic indicators
• Change management skills and the ability to provide guidance in complex situations
