Leadership of an interdisciplinary development organization with responsibility for complete product development across all product lines. Manage R&D transformation, integrate mechanical and digital systems, and develop and support leaders and emerging talents.

Your responsibilities

Realign an interdisciplinary R&D unit with approximately 200 employees
Oversee complete product development across all product lines
Manage the stage-gate process from ideation to series production
Integrate mechanical design with digital products, sensors, AI, and autonomous driving systems
Design forward-looking development structures for smart farming, AI, and data ecosystems
Work closely with product management to translate market requirements into technical solutions
Develop and support emerging talents and leaders
Keep industrial series production implementation in view
Act as a sparring partner for sales and supply chain
Sharpen the identity of the entire R&D organization and create connecting structures

Your profile

Completed technical degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or comparable)
Several years of leadership experience in senior R&D positions with responsibility for complex technical systems
Proven implementation of innovation and transformation processes (e.g., introduction of new product lines, digitalization projects, building software and mechatronics teams)
Extensive technical understanding in mechanical engineering and mechatronics
Knowledge of hydraulics
Knowledge of sensors and actuators
Experience with software and digitalization in development processes
Experience with industrial development processes as well as platform and modular strategies
Strategic thinking, strong will to shape, and high drive for implementation
Fluent in German and English
