Leadership of the Purchasing and Materials Management Department, responsible for operational purchasing processes, supplier management, as well as warehousing and dispatch. The central task is implementing strategic purchasing directives and ensuring deadline and quality targets.

Your responsibilities

Leading staff in purchasing, warehousing, and dispatch (both technically and disciplinarily)
Implementing strategic purchasing directives for a purchasing volume exceeding EUR 30 million.
Conducting operational purchasing of materials and services
Ensuring supplier performance according to strategic directives
Acquiring and selecting suppliers
Assessing and developing suppliers
Preparing inquiries and conducting offer comparisons
Negotiating contracts and awarding orders, including invoice verification
Managing shortages and complaints
Reporting to group purchasing management and participating in optimization projects

Your profile

Completed technical education (e.g., university of applied sciences, technical college, or similar)
Several years of experience in leadership positions in technical purchasing
Experience in the fields of steel construction, metal processing, or mechanical engineering
Basic knowledge of business administration
Strong skills in contract design and international contract law
Willingness to travel occasionally nationally and internationally
Structured, independent, and reliable work style
Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness
Excellent German and English skills
Proficient in MS Office and ERP applications
