Head of Engineering (R&D) Mechatronics

• Leading the R&D department for product development with approximately 9 staff, including an international team structure.
• Taking on technical and personnel responsibility for the department.
• Managing the economic aspects of the department, including accountability for results.
• Developing and implementing a sustainable technology and product roadmap in coordination with interfaces.
• Planning and managing Opex and Capex budgets.
• Ensuring and monitoring high quality standards and responding quickly to errors or claims.
• Further developing processes, methods, and tools in the development environment of an industrial group.
• Analyzing relevant key figures and deriving improvement measures.
• Leading and developing an international team, including indirect management of engineering resources abroad.
• Coordinating collaboration with procurement, quality, production, sales, and other engineering departments, as well as supporting strategic development.

• Completed technical degree (TU / FH) in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or electrical engineering.
• Several years of experience in the engineering field (e.g., R&D, product development, or design).
• Proven leadership experience (e.g., Engineering Manager, Head of R&D, Head of Development).
• Experience with structured development processes and quality requirements in an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of mechatronic systems.
• Knowledge of control technology, software, and/or pneumatic applications is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills and a high affinity for key figures.
• Strong communication skills and team orientation in an international environment.
• Practical approach and hands-on mentality with willingness to delve into technical topics operationally.
• Very good German and English skills
