Head of Purchasing Electronic and Control Components
Leadership and strategic direction of purchasing for electronic and control components with a focus on long-term competitiveness. Central responsibility includes leading a small team and participating in a cross-functional committee to develop the purchasing strategy until 2030.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead a small purchasing team
- Distribute tasks and set priorities within the team
- Support and develop team members
- Develop long-term strategies for critical components
- Assess procurement risks and derive measures
- Build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships worldwide
- Manage supplier performance and conduct negotiations on prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions
- Monitor market prices for electronic and control components
- Review supplier certifications and sustainability standards
- Define and apply relevant supplier KPIs to ensure production supply
Your profile
- Completed technical or economic education (HTL, FH, University)
- Specialization in fields such as industrial engineering, supply chain management, business administration, electrical engineering, or mechatronics
- At least 4 years of experience in purchasing electronic and control components
- Confident handling of ERP systems
- Knowledge of relevant purchasing KPIs
- German language skills at negotiation level
- English language skills at negotiation level
- Existing leadership experience
- Ability to remain calm during times of change, listen, and make informed decisions
- Experience in collaborating with international suppliers and internal stakeholders
