You will manage the operational and strategic leadership of a sector for tower operations in Air Traffic Management. Core responsibilities include overseeing projects, budgets, and teams, as well as ensuring a safe and efficient operation of tower solutions.

Your responsibilities

Leading the operational and strategic direction of the tower operations teams
Setting up and managing international projects for the BU Tower
Overseeing project implementation until commissioning and during maintenance phases
Planning and controlling resources, tasks, and budgets including reporting
Managing the planning, implementation, and follow-up of performance measures
Optimizing processes regarding cost, quality, and efficiency
Coordinating internal and external stakeholders and resources
Managing escalations and making problem-solving decisions
Developing teams, identifying key individuals, and nurturing talents
Assessing opportunities and risks and ensuring compliance adherence

Your profile

Completed studies (e.g., Technology, Engineering, Aviation, Business, IT)
Project management certification according to IPMA, PMI, and/or PRINCE2
Several years of leadership experience in a corporate environment
Preferably experience in air traffic control or the software sector
Preferably experience in managing complex customer projects for public clients
Strong entrepreneurial understanding and business management knowledge
Experience in risk assessment and compliance with legal and internal requirements
Structured working style and strong hands-on mentality
Fluent in English
Ability to represent complex issues to various stakeholders and translate trends into operational practice
