You take on the leadership and development of the sea freight business. In this role, you will develop and implement sales and operational structures, acquire clients, and lead a team.
Your responsibilities
- Development of a sales strategy for the Austrian market
- Implementation of the sales strategy for the international forwarding business
- Building long-term business relationships
- Active acquisition of new customers
- Support and maintenance of existing key accounts
- Collaboration with international partners
- Strategic management of the location and business development
- Operational leadership and development of the team at the location
- Development of customized logistics solutions and products for clients in Austria
- Preparation of offers
- Participation in tenders
- Assumption of revenue and profit responsibility based on relevant metrics
- Monitoring and analysis of competition and market trends in Austria
- Direct reporting to management
Your profile
- Completed commercial education (apprenticeship, HAK, FH, or university) in forwarding/logistics
- Several years of experience in international forwarding
- Experience in intercontinental forwarding
- Proven success in establishing business activities in the logistics sector
- Proven success in developing business activities in the logistics sector
- Proven success in expanding business activities in the logistics sector
- Very good network with relevant decision-makers
- Very good network with suppliers
- Very good network with partners
- Entrepreneurial personality
- Leadership experience
- High level of initiative
