Head of Mechanical Design

• Take overall responsibility for mechanics, electronics, and software
• Lead the development department both professionally and disciplinarily
• Manage complex development projects from concept to industrialization
• Further develop project management, structures, and decision-making processes
• Foster a high-performance, trusting, and motivating team culture
• Conduct resource, budget, and capacity planning
• Establish and optimize development standards (including V-model process, design FMEA)
• Control error analysis, testing, and validation processes
• Work closely with operations, procurement, production, and external development partners
• Report significant progress, risks, and strategic topics to management and the CTO

• Completed technical studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field
• Several years of leadership experience in engineering within an industrial environment
• Proven success in leading complex development projects in machinery, plant, or special machine construction
• Deep understanding of mechanical systems
• Solid knowledge of industrial product development processes
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams from mechanics, electronics, and software
• Experience in establishing and professionalizing organizational and project structures
• Familiarity with methods such as design FMEA, requirements management, or V-model
• Strong problem-solving skills and structured, data-driven decision-making
• Very good German and English skills
