Head of IP Brand Enforcement Europe

• Lead and ensure the consistent implementation of brand enforcement strategies in Europe.
• Collaborate with brand enforcement colleagues in the Americas and APMEA regions.
• Identify risks, prioritize cases, and drive protective measures to maintain brand integrity.
• Conduct trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings.
• Handle cases of product counterfeiting and parallel imports, as well as coordinate with customs authorities.
• Lead and manage trademark infringement, unfair competition, and litigation proceedings.
• Coordinate external law firms in Europe and ensure excellent legal advice.
• Review filings, cease and desist letters, settlements, court submissions, and enforcement measures.
• Lead and develop a team of Brand Enforcement Attorneys and Paralegals, including technical and disciplinary responsibility.
• Report to the Global Head of IP, maintain executive stakeholder management, and oversee the European enforcement budget and resource/cost management.

• Completed law degree.
• Admitted as an attorney.
• At least 8 years of experience in intellectual property law focusing on trademark law and brand enforcement.
• Initial or several years of leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
• Extensive experience in trademark enforcement, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and litigation.
• Experience with customs issues, product counterfeiting, and unfair competition cases.
• Experience in a leading law firm and/or multinational in-house legal environment.
• Strong analytical skills and robust research and legal analysis competencies.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to advise and persuade senior business leaders.
• Proven ability to manage external legal counsel and coordinate cross-border legal matters.
