You assume overall operational responsibility for road, rail, and sea freight in an internationally active logistics organization. A core element of your role is managing the operational network as well as providing visible leadership that influences performance, quality, and growth.

Your responsibilities

Overall responsibility for road, rail, and sea freight operations
Leadership of the operational organization
Further development of the operational organization
Leadership of executives
Ensuring efficiency, stability, quality, and profitability along the operational value chain
Responsibility for operational performance including budget and results accountability
Establishment and development of a performance management system
Present, active leadership in daily operations with high visibility
Fulfillment of the role of a licensed managing director or willingness to obtain it
Management of a complex operational network with direct impact on performance, quality, and growth

Your profile

Leadership experience in freight forwarding or logistics
Experience in land transport and/or rail environment (ideally)
Experience in leading executives
Experience with larger operational units
P&L responsibility in complex logistics structures
Hands-on mentality
Clear entrepreneurial mindset
Very good German language skills
Excellent English skills
Willingness to fulfill the role of a licensed managing director or to obtain it
