Chief Technology Officer, Engineering & Operations

• Take overall responsibility for the engineering organization of about 30 people.
• Report directly to management.
• Lead five team leads as direct supervisors.
• Coach and develop team leads as a technical sparring partner.
• Ensure the stable 24/7 operation of business-critical SaaS solutions.
• Drive containerization and manage migration to Kubernetes.
• Coordinate the replacement of the existing virtualization infrastructure and remaining legacy components.
• Implement measures to accelerate release cycles.
• Improve efficiency in customer onboarding.
• Advance the use of LLM technologies in products and internal processes.

• Several years of experience in leading leaders within an engineering organization (25+ people).
• Entrepreneurial thinking and ownership across departmental boundaries.
• Founding or startup experience is welcomed (desirable).
• Solid background in software development for backend or data-intensive systems.
• Experience with programming languages like Python or C++.
• Experience in operating systems in Linux environments.
• Technical depth: Ability to read code and lead substantial discussions on architecture and performance.
• Clear, direct leadership style with openness to problem management and early intervention.
• Willingness to take responsibility during periods of high commitment.
• Very good German and English skills
