Head of a department for product development of electrical/electronic systems and software in the field of commercial vehicles. Central responsibility lies in the technical and disciplinary leadership of the team as well as the strategic direction and ensuring project objectives according to the development program.

Your responsibilities

Technical and disciplinary leadership of the department with 3 direct reports and around 40 employees
Strategic planning and direction of the department
Implementation of the development program according to PEP while adhering to deadlines
Implementation of the development program with cost control
Implementation of the development program to ensure the required quality
Preparation of reports and management reporting
Monitoring and evaluation of relevant key figures
Preparation and leadership of management meetings and internal discussions
Building and promoting software competencies in the department
Assuming development responsibility for the product

Your profile

Academic, technical education in a technical field
Specialization in electrical engineering or mechatronics, or equivalent qualification
Several years of professional experience in development in the automotive sector
Several years of leadership experience
Motivational leadership style
Knowledge of automotive processes
Knowledge of automotive standards
Ability for strategic thinking
Experience in corporate structures
Preference for delegative leadership; no micromanagement
