Management of the institutional cash office with technical and personnel responsibility for admission/release, surgery scheduling, and porter service. A central task is managing payment transactions and billing with statutory and private insurers, including implementing contractual and legal requirements in internal IT systems.

Your responsibilities

Personnel and technical management of the cash department
Leading a team currently consisting of 14 employees
Creation and management of the duty roster
Preparation of ad-hoc and regular reports for management
Preparation of cost estimates and topic-specific work instructions
Coordination with all service areas and participation in projects
Implementation of legal and contractual frameworks in IT systems
Maintenance and updating of all tariffs
Participation in negotiations with private and public health insurers
Responsibility for payment transactions, institutional billing, and disbursement of medical fees, including handling dunning procedures

Your profile

Completed commercial training with Matura or a degree in business administration
Excellent German language skills, both spoken and written
Excellent manners and confident demeanor towards patients and staff
High social competence and leadership ability
High accuracy, integrity, and resilience
Independent working style, self-responsibility, and quality awareness
Above-average commitment and willingness for further training
High competence in organization and problem-solving
User knowledge of hospital IT systems (e.g., eKOS, SVC, MS Office) is advantageous
Professional experience in cash or accounting; experience in a hospital is advantageous
