As a Transport Manager, you are responsible for the operational management of international transport assignments. You coordinate daily dispatch and ensure timely and cost-effective execution of transports. You communicate closely with various partners and respond flexibly to dynamic situations in day-to-day operations.
Your responsibilities
- Operational execution of transport processing based on rough planning
- Take over daily dispatch of international transports
- Compare available transport options based on commercial criteria
- Select suitable transport solutions for daily operations
- Coordinate with clients, transport partners, and drivers
- Coordinate with ferry and rail operators
- Resolve outstanding issues in the process
- Prioritize and develop solutions for short-term changes
- Conduct complete and accurate documentation of business cases
- Monitor compliance with quality requirements and internal processes
- Ensure smooth information exchange with adjacent teams
- Share relevant market and process information within the organization
Your profile
- Completed commercial training at least at an intermediate level
- Professional experience in the field is welcome but not mandatory
- Proficient use of MS Office applications
- Fluent German skills at least at C1 level
- Good English skills at least at B2 level
- Willingness for regular business travel within the area of responsibility
- Commercial understanding
- Enjoyment of organizational and coordinating activities
- Clear and solution-oriented communication even with short-term changes
- Independent working style.
