Leadership and strategic development of the legal department with operational responsibility and legal advisory services for management, subsidiaries, affiliates, and specialist departments. Key aspects include managing compliance, contracts, procurement, and real estate matters, as well as ensuring an orderly knowledge transfer prior to succession.

Your responsibilities

Assume operational and substantive leadership of the legal department
Advise management, subsidiaries, affiliates, and specialist departments on legal issues and coordinate external legal advisors
Provide advice on corporate, procurement, data protection, and state aid law, and support strategic projects
Provide legal support for the acquisition, use, development, and commercialization of real estate
Ensure legally compliant implementation of subsidy and financing measures in accordance with state aid law
Examine legal matters and develop well-founded opinions
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement procedures
Identify legal risks, develop measures, and monitor regulatory developments
Drive digitalization within the legal department and enhance internal processes for greater efficiency
Further develop the compliance management system including IKS, and guide whistleblower systems and corruption prevention

Your profile

Degree in law
Many years of relevant professional experience
Experience in a comparable leadership position, ideally in the public or semi-public sector
Detailed expertise in corporate law
Detailed expertise in real estate law
Detailed expertise in procurement law
Knowledge of state aid law
Knowledge in data protection and compliance/IKS
Experience in equity management
Structured, precise, and independent working style with strong communication and negotiation skills
