You will oversee the financial and controlling department of a cultural organization, responsible for the organization, management, and evolution of financial functions. Your main task is to ensure operational financial processes and prepare decision-relevant financial information for business management.

Your responsibilities

Lead and develop the departments of accounting, ticket office, and purchasing
Ensure proper bookkeeping
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements on time according to UGB
Manage payment transactions, liquidity management, and ongoing financial disposition
Perform and develop controlling
Prepare budgets and forecasts and continuously monitor them
Create regular reports and analyses as a basis for decision-making
Assess the economic impact of productions and projects
Ensure efficient and transparent processes in the financial area and continuous process optimization
Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and public funding bodies, and coordinate with the commercial management

Your profile

Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification
Several years of relevant professional experience
Ideally, several years of experience with leadership responsibility
In-depth, practically tested knowledge in accounting
In-depth knowledge of tax law
Understanding of social insurance legal issues
Several years of experience independently preparing annual financial statements according to UGB
Solid understanding of relevant accounting and valuation principles
Ability to analyze financial statements and assess their impact on earnings and liquidity situation
Very good business understanding and experience in controlling
