Head of Procurement

You lead and develop the procurement team and shape the strategic and operational direction of procurement. This includes actively managing suppliers, availability, quality, and overall costs.

Your responsibilities

Leading and developing the procurement team
Developing category and supplier strategies
Identifying procurement risks
Establishing suitable second sources
Searching for and qualifying new suppliers
Negotiating prices, capacities, delivery times, and contracts
Further developing existing supplier partnerships
Improving supplier performance with metrics and reviews
Optimizing procurement processes from inquiry to deadline tracking
Coordinating with planning, production, engineering, quality, and controlling

Your profile

Several years of experience in technical procurement within a manufacturing company
Experience with strategic procurement and supplier development (ideally)
Leadership experience or willingness to take over and develop a team
Technical understanding of components and manufacturing processes
Keen eye for quality, deliverability, and Total Cost of Ownership
Analytical strength
Negotiation skills
Experience with ERP-supported processes
Knowledge in BMD (desirable)
German B1 and English B1
