Head of Accounting

You will lead the financial accounting department and have overall responsibility for timely financial statements and consolidations. Additionally, you will design processes, drive digitalization, and manage an accounting team.

Your responsibilities

Leading and developing the accounting team
Ensuring proper financial accounting
Preparing and coordinating monthly financial statements
Preparing and coordinating quarterly financial statements
Preparing and coordinating annual financial statements and consolidations
Managing efficient closing processes, including fast-close standards
Analyzing deviations from corporate/group standards
Designing and standardizing accounting processes
Advancing digitalization and automation in accounting
Assuming system responsibility as a key user for ERP systems

Your profile

Completed commercial education (university, university of applied sciences, or certified accountant)
Several years of experience in financial accounting
Experience in a leadership role (ideally)
Excellent knowledge of accounting (UGB)
Knowledge of IFRS and tax law (advantageous)
Experience with ERP systems
High process affinity
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented work approach
Strong communication and leadership skills
German and English at least B2
