Technical Facilities Manager

• Leading and developing a team of engineers and technicians in facility management
• Monitoring the operation of technical building systems such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, elevators, fire protection, and security
• Implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Analyzing and optimizing the energy consumption of facilities
• Coordinating inspections, tests, and certifications of technical systems
• Collaborating with internal departments to meet infrastructure needs
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety, and environmental standards
• Maintaining documentation for audits and legal inspections via CAFM system
• Conducting risk analyses and implementing preventive measures
• Overseeing fire protection and security systems as well as emergency plans
• Planning and managing renovation and modernization projects
• Preparing and managing the annual maintenance and personnel budget
• Analyzing cost savings and managing operational expenses
• Creating reports and advising the management level
• Initiating and implementing sustainability measures

• Completed studies in facility management, electrical or mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary technical teams
• Extensive knowledge in the operation and maintenance of backup power systems (UPS, generators)
• In-depth knowledge of climate and cooling systems as well as security and protection systems
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Reliable decision-making ability under operational stress and disruptions
• Experience in 24/7 operational environments or mission-critical areas
• Knowledge in quality management according to ISO 9001 is advantageous
• Certifications or training in electrical engineering, safety, and fire protection
• Familiarity with occupational safety regulations such as DGUV or OSHA
• Experience with facility management standards (GEFMA, ISO 41000, EN 13306, DIN 31051, VDI, VDE)
• Knowledge of construction contract regulations HOAI and VOB
• User knowledge in standard office software (Microsoft 365)
• Experience with document management (e.g., M-Files) and workflow tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence)
• Practical skills in CAD programs and CAFM systems
